Evan Johnson

Evan represents whistleblowers in cases involving Medicare and Medicaid fraud, illegal importation of medicine, and theft of intellectual property supported by federal research grants.

Prior to starting as a lawyer with Jeffrey Newman in January 2020, Evan worked for over two years in the Financial Litigation Unit of the United States Attorney’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts. At the United States Attorney’s Office, he worked to defend the government’s financial interests in civil and criminal litigation, helping to recover funds owed to the federal government and restitution owed to victims of federal crimes.

While studying at Boston University School of Law, Evan developed expertise in banking and financial law, and served as an Articles Editor on the Review of Banking and Financial Law. He also worked at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and edited a textbook for one of the leading authorities on securitization.
