Evan represents whistleblowers in cases involving: upcoded and medically unnecessary medical services billed to Medicare and Medicaid, fraudulent laboratory services, illegal kickbacks to medical sales representatives, medical equipment fraud, pharmacy fraud, medically unnecessary genetic testing, tariff evasion, and violations of federal securities laws.

Prior to starting at Newman & Shapiro in January 2020, Evan worked for over two years in the Financial Litigation Unit of the United States Attorney’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts. At the United States Attorney’s Office, he assisted the government in civil and criminal litigation, helping recover funds owed to the federal government and restitution owed to victims of federal crimes.

While studying at Boston University School of Law, Evan developed expertise in banking and financial law, and served as an Articles Editor on the Review of Banking and Financial Law. He also worked at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and edited a law textbook for a leading authority on securitization.
